MATES 2015, Clinton, NJ – August 7 – 9, 2015
Come ride with us and discover beautiful western New Jersey for MATES 2015. The setting will be in the charming and historic town of Clinton at the newly renovated Holiday Inn nestled in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County. It is easily accessible from RT 78 and Interstates 287, 80, the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike are nearby. The hotel is very close to an array of shops, book stores, bike shops, wine stores and restaurants. Rides will include magnificent vistas and points of interest, including Round Valley and Spruce Run State Parks, Red Mill Museum, Beneduce Vineyards, Sky Manor Airport, Delaware River upon miles of low traffic, country roads.
Side Note: If your tandem has 28-32mm or larger tires, there are several rail trail and single track options within short distance of the host hotel: Pittstown-Landsdown Trail, Columbia Trail, Ken Lockwood Gorge Trail. There are also two fantastic lakes on which to kayak if so inclined – Spruce Run and Round Valley State Parks.

Registration for MATES 2015 will close on July 1st, 2015 or with the first 50 confirmed and paid tandem teams.
The cost per TEAM is $225 plus hotel.
This year’s MATES coordinators are Cheryl Prudhomme and Mark Cucuzella.
Proposed event schedule:
• Thursday afternoon short pre-rally warmup ride with dinner on your own.
• Full, hearty breakfast for two provided for each hotel night reserved
• Friday late morning full ride around Round Valley Reservoir with optional stop at Beneduce Vineyards and Sky Manor Airport
• Friday dinner on your own [highly suggest: http://www.cleanplateclinton.com/, riverside dining]
• Friday “Frozen Yogurt Social” – downtown Clinton at Just Chill 41 Main St., Clinton
• Friday “Clinton Come Together” music festival in downtown Clinton featuring Mark as singer/songwriter and others
• Saturday morning mass start from hotel to Delaware River basin
• Saturday lunch at Clinton Station Diner
• Saturday pre-banquet social with wine and soft drinks in hospitality room
• Saturday buffet banquet dinner at the Holiday Inn
• Sunday morning ride to Spruce Run State Park
• Sunday box lunch from the hotel prior to heading home
Printed cue sheets and GPX file downloads provided prior to the rally.
Special pricing for children – see attached notes in registration form.
There will be NO SAG provided Call 911 from your cell phone in the event of emergency.
Hotel Accommodations – Holiday Inn, 111 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809. The hotel rate is $115/night plus 15% room tax. The rally organizers will handle the hotel reservations.
Teams MUST sign up with us via MATES registration in order to receive reduced rates which include breakfast, taxes and preferred placement. The MATES 2015 staff will make the room reservation for you.
Confirmations
All confirmations and any additional materials will be sent to the email addresses listed on the registration.
Cancellations
Cancellations made greater than 4 weeks prior to event will receive a full refund. Within four weeks of the event date, if you need to cancel we will make every effort to provide a refund. Dependent upon the date the cancellation is requested, we may need to issue a partial refund; deducting any portions of the funds that have previously been committed.
