Unfortunately, due to uncertainties around Covid-19 restrictions, we have decided to cancel Mates 2020 in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania.  All room reservations at the Allenberry Resort have been canceled.  If you have booked a hotel elsewhere, don’t forget to cancel.  We do plan to hold Mates 2021 there, hopefully in August, so look forward to seeing you all then. MATES 2020 – Aug 14-16

 

Where/When:

We are pleased to announce that MATES 2020 will be help August 14th to 16th and is returning to the scenic environs and quiet roads of Southern Pennsylvania in Boiling Springs. Many of us remember the great tandem events that Kim and Jim Pastorak hosted in nearby Carlisle PA.

Location Info:

We will be staying at the Allenberry Resort in a lovely historic setting along the Yellow Breeches Creek, a magnet for fly fishers from all over the world and we will surely mix with some when we are there.  The country location places us in the midst of quiet, scenic roads while still having access to nearby sites with lots of restaurant options. We will make sure you have ample opportunities to visit the lake that really does “boil” as deep springs rise through the limestone base. You can become an honorary “Bubbler” as the locals are referred to.

Hotel/Reservations:

The Allenberry Resort has gone through extensive upgrades and renovations over the last few years and aims to provide top-notch service. Room rates reflect the high-quality facilities ($209-$225 per night) and our registration fee is a little higher than normal, due to the restaurant costs at the resort ($180 per person).  We hope you will find the service, food, and environment well worth the extra cost.   56 rooms have been blocked for us under “MATES Tandem Rally” at the Allenberry Resort.  We have Pine Lodge, Stone Lodge, and Meadow Lodge as our options.
